JEWELLERY CARE
PEARL CARE
Pearls crave to be worn! Originally born in water, they benefit immensely from absorbing your body’s natural oils. Show them off with the right care!
-
PEARLS NEED MOISTURE
Do not store them in airtight packages like plastic bags - if the environment is too dry, they may crack.
-
LAST TO PUT ON, FIRST TO TAKE OFF
As a golden rule, put on your pearls at the end of your routine and take them off first thing while unwinding. Be very careful with chemical substances as they can erode your pearl’s surface.
-
NO SWEAT
Gently wipe your pearls off with a soft cloth once you take them off, to remove sweat, excess oils or dirt.
-
SWADDLE IN SOFTNESS
Store your pearls away from other jewellery or objects that may scratch their surface. Wrap them in soft cloth like a linen, or place them in a soft pouch.
-
CLASP & CLOSE
Fasten the clasps and lay out your pearls in the box to prevent tangles and scratches. When carrying the jewellery, use a protective pouch.
-
STAY AWAY FROM CHEMICALS
Keep the pearls away from chlorine, bleach, hydrogen peroxide, vinegar, ammonia, hairspray, perfume and other cosmetics as they could damage the surface.
THREAD WITH CARE
Even if your jewellery is strung with the best threads, it could stretch and loosen over time. Avoid any unforeseen accidents with a regular restring every 1-2 years.
METAL CARE
Here’s how you can make your metal or plated jewellery shine and stay with you for a long time.
-
KEEP IT DRY
Don’t wear your metal jewellery in the shower or while swimming. Water can be very harsh on the material.
-
PROTECT YOUR SHINE
Sprays and creams including soap, perfume, moisturiser and sunscreen can cause damage to your jewellery pieces. Remove them before you use any of these products.
-
KEEP AWAY FROM HUMIDITY
Avoid storing your jewellery in the bathroom or any humid environments. Such moisture can tarnish your metal.
-
GOLDEN RULES FOR STORAGE
Like any gold-plated pieces, your Anāash jewellery is also subject to gradual discolouration, if not stored properly. Wrap each piece of jewellery in a soft fabric and place it in an airtight bag to maximise the life of its gold plating. Try to store each piece separately to avoid scratches.
-
HANDLE WITH LOVE
Avoid dropping your jewellery onto hard surfaces - the impact can weaken or break the piece.
